Description

Article no.: Neo-glue

35 ml neoprene cement for wetsuit repair. Instruction: Repairing a Wetsuit with Neoprene Glue For best results, make sure the wetsuit is completely dry and that the area to be repaired is clean and free from dirt, salt, and grease. Step-by-Step Instructions Open the Tear Fold the material along the damaged area so that the tear opens up and both bonding surfaces are easily accessible. A clothespin or clip can be useful to keep the tear open while you work. Apply the Glue Apply a thin, even layer of neoprene glue to both surfaces that will be bonded together. Using your finger is often the easiest way to spread the glue evenly. Allow the Glue to Dry Let the glue dry for approximately 5 minutes, or until it no longer feels tacky to the touch. Join the Surfaces Carefully align the edges and press them together. Be precise, as the glue bonds immediately upon contact. Press the Seam Firmly Pinch and press the entire glued seam firmly along the full length of the repair to ensure a strong bond. Curing Time The repair reaches approximately 50% of its full strength immediately after bonding. Full strength is achieved after approximately 24 hours. Tip: For the most durable repair, avoid using the wetsuit until the glue has fully cured.
