Behind POwerfins stands Oleg Pudov, the founder, designer, and one of the world's most experienced finswimming coaches. Oleg has been coaching finswimmers since 1979 and has devoted much of his life to developing both athletes and equipment at the highest international level.

His coaching career began in Perm, in the former Soviet Union, and continued in Chisinau, Moldova, from 1987. Since 1999, Oleg has been based in France, where he first coached in Toulouse and La Ciotat. Since 2005, he has been working in Aix-en-Provence and Vitrolles.

Throughout his long career, Oleg has coached numerous successful finswimmers in both the Soviet Union and France. Among them are internationally accomplished athletes such as Andrei Gorbunov, Svetlana Naidanova, Edouard Makhinov, Elena Vafina, Irina Tatarinova, Natalia Motovilova, Andrei Preasca, Cindy Casillo, Jean-Marc Perkovic, Marine Doisy, Alexandre Noir, Amandine Noir, Jeanne Sery, Maelle Lecoeur, Hugo Meyer, Hugo Pellet, and Maiwenn Hamon.
