Here you will find advice and tips on how to take care of your equipment. With proper care, your products will last longer, perform better, and maintain their quality over time. Taking good care of your gear is good for both your wallet and the environment.
Even if you have purchased a chlorine-resistant and durable swimsuit, there are a few simple things to keep in mind to maximize its lifespan and avoid unnecessary wear and tear:
With proper care, you will be able to enjoy your swimwear for a long time to come.
All of our swimming goggles are treated with an anti-fog coating during manufacturing. Avoid touching the inside of the lenses with your fingers, as this can damage the anti-fog coating. Do not apply anti-fog products to new goggles.
Over time, the original anti-fog coating will gradually wear off with use. When this happens, you can clean the inside of the lenses using lukewarm water and a small drop of ordinary dishwashing liquid. Be sure to rinse thoroughly with clean water afterward.
You can then treat your goggles with an anti-fog spray. Always read and follow the instructions on the bottle carefully before use.
Fogging is essentially condensation that forms when there is a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lens. In addition to factors such as worn anti-fog coating or grease marks from fingerprints, the amount of fogging is primarily influenced by temperature conditions.
Swimming goggles often fog up more quickly when your face is warm and the water is cold. A common example is when a swimmer who has warmed up puts on their goggles without first rinsing their face with the cooler pool water. By cooling your face before putting on your goggles, you can reduce the temperature difference and, consequently, the risk of fogging.
The size of the lens also plays a role. Goggles with larger lenses tend to fog up more easily than models with smaller lenses, as the larger surface area is more affected by temperature differences.
There are no swimming goggles that remain completely fog-free under all conditions. How quickly and to what extent fogging occurs will always depend on external factors such as water temperature, air temperature, body heat, and how the goggles are used. However, with proper care and a well-functioning anti-fog treatment, the problem can be significantly reduced.
Care Instructions for Rubber Swim Fins
Rubber swim fins are highly durable and can last for many years if they are cared for properly.
Avoid walking on land while wearing your fins. In addition to increasing the risk of injury, walking in fins causes unnecessary wear and tear, especially on the blade and heel areas.
Do not leave your fins in direct sunlight for extended periods. UV rays and heat can gradually break down the natural rubber and affect the fins' performance and durability. If you need to leave them outdoors, cover them with a towel or store them in a shaded area.
Rinse your fins with fresh water after use in chlorinated or salt water to help keep them clean and in good condition.
With simple, regular care, your rubber swim fins will maintain their comfort, durability, and performance for a long time.
